Creating an Application

To start using the API, you need to create an Application (short: App). You can create multiple Apps, each with a different webhook destination and API Key.

To create a new Application, log in to your RSS API Account or sign up for a new Account.

Once logged in, click on the "Create new Application" Button in the top right corner of your Dashboard.

  • Application Name: Choose a meaningful name for your Application so you can easily distinguish between your different Projects on your Dashboard
  • Webhook URL (optional): Set a destination URL for all outgoing webhooks for this Application. You can set/change this later.
  • Mode:
    • Staging: Choose this mode while testing and playing around with the API.
    • Production: Once your Project is ready, change the mode to "Production" for the best performance and stability.

Once you've filled out the form, click on "Create Application" to create your new Application. You'll see a new entry on your Dashboard with the name of your Application. Click "Select Application" to view the Application's API Key, Settings and Statistics.
